Wearing masks protects others. When others wear masks, we are protected as well.

The question is, when do we stop wearing masks? Is this the end of mask-less humanity?

Health experts say the evidence is clear that masks can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and that the more people wearing masks, the better. (source)

Do you think that masks will no longer be the norm once a vaccine is developed? Or are masks here to stay? If the masks are the new norm, does that not make us more vulnerable in the long term, as we are no longer as exposed to viruses as we used to be (influenza etc), because human immune system becomes stronger as it gets exposed to viruses - it recognizes them faster the next time they enter the body.

What are your thoughts?
